The Problem of Rest

Last week, we discussed the importance of living in the Kingdom of Rest that our heavenly Dad offers but, rest does not necessarily come with ease to all of us.

We need to move, be productive, make a difference, be impactful, bear fruit, and change the world in which we live. These are the phrases I hear when I wrestle with rest both in my own heart and with others.

Rest is that other “four-letter word” and it feels dirty and indulgent. Why is that? Why do we struggle to rest?
