You can use the following questions to help you interview your Elder.

Where were you born?
What was your mom like? What was your dad like?
Where did you grow up? What was your childhood like?
What were you like as a teen? Who was someone you looked up to at that age?
What were your twenties like? How did you decide on your career or passion for a job?
What hobbies have you loved over the years? What is something you've done that made you come alive?
How did you meet your spouse?
What was the most influential moment of your life?
What was the best adventure you ever went on?
What was one of the hardest moments in your story? How did you move through that moment?
What has your walk with God been like? When did you first encounter him? What have the best moments with him been?
If you could offer one bit of wisdom that has been most important to you on your journey, what would it be? Why?
Write out any other questions that may be interesting to explore!

You can use the following questions to guide your research!

Where is your family originally from? On your dad's side? On your mom's side?
When and how did your family end up in America? Do you know why they came here?
Have any of your family members fought in a war? Which one? Any Stories related to that?
Is there anything your family is known for? Inventor, Entrepreneur, Explorer, Etc.
Are you related to anyone famous? Historical, Recent, Etc.
Make notes of any other interesting facts or stories you uncover!
