Based on the results of your activity, what do you think happens if we live our whole lives calibrated to a Spiritual False True North (letting magnets stay between us and our True Source)?
WWhat would our life's destination be if we never calibrated our life's direction (detached from magnets)? What do you think life would look like? Try to "paint a picture" of that life.
On a Spiritual False True North, do you think we would ever live in close, trusting relationship with God and have clarity about your identity and manhood? Why or why not?

Imagine what it would be like to stay on the wrong trajectory over time. How much further off of Physical True North would you be? In 50 steps? In 100 steps? In 200 steps? What happens after a mile? 2 miles? What would happen if you traveled "off True North" for a month or a year?

Let us give you guys some perspective:

One Degree off TN after one foot, I am 2 inches off TN.
One Degree off TN after one mile, I am 92 feet off.
One degree off TN from San Francisco to DC, coast to coast, I would be in Baltimore. 44 miles away.
One Degree off TN from DC around the world back to Boston, I would be over 400 miles off.
One Degree off TN to the moon, 4200 miles off.
One Degree off TN to the sun, 1.6 million miles off.

Crazy right? The longer we choose to stay on our Spiritual False True Norths, allowing magnets to be closer to our hearts than our True Source, the farther away we get from God's destination for us- which means more separation and confusion. If we don't choose to calibrate our direction and detach magnets from our hearts, we will never be the men God created us to be. And we will end up far away from him and miss out on our relationship with Him, which is what our HEARTS ARE MADE FOR!

You may be struggling not to live on a Spiritual False True North. That's okay. God's heart is generous and loving. He calls our hearts back to him even when we calibrate to False True Norths. He forgives and uses the spiritual magnetic pull of our hearts to bring us back to Spiritual True North. Headed in that direction, we will surely live in and from our Garden State each and every day.
