What is the MHS Mighty Men Adventure?

On the MHS Mighty Men Adventure, is a trip to Montana. Over eight days, men step into intimacy with God and explore their stories through the lens of beloved sonship. Trip activities include small group time, teaching sessions, hiking in the Bitterroot National Forest, and your choice between a day of guided fishing or horseback riding. All of these experiences create a highly relational environment where men can step into their identity and story with confidence and community. (See below for more trip info.)

 Adventure Info

On the Mighty Men adventure, Men will...

  • Walk On A Firm Foundation "Identity is the trailhead of life's journey because our mission, community, and code flow from who we are." If we want to live well, we must find an unchanging answer to "Who am I?" We believe "I am a beloved son" is that foundational answer. We can learn why we are here, where we belong, and how to live through a relationship with our good-hearted, heavenly Dad.

  • Understand Our Stories. Our stories are balls of thread: chaotic, unending, and confusing. But the confusion doesn't have to have the final word. Our heavenly Dad wants to walk us through our stories and unveil the wounds, agreements, and strongholds that keep us from living life at its best. He wants to heal, nurture, and mature us as sons into the men he created us to be.

  • Know How To Live Each Day. Culture says life is about doing. It pushes men to perform in work, school, and relationships. But no man finds deep satisfaction in this. Life as a son shifts our perspective: "As I learn to be and live as a son, I become a real man." To "do," we must first learn how to "be." Intimacy with your heavenly Dad gives us everything we need to know how to take the next step on our path.

  • Learn to lead their homes well. Every man wants to be a good father, husband, and leader, but many don't realize that leadership begins when we learn to follow. Leading our family well looks like following our heavenly Dad and working alongside him to love those he puts in our care. Only He knows our families well, and only he knows the path that leads to life at its best. He wants to lead us there, but we must learn to follow him first.
