Vision

God has masterfully crafted each one of us for a unique Mission in His Kingdom. We guide a father son mission to discover their true purpose in life. God told Adam: “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it” (Gen 1:28). He had specific plans for Adam, and He has specific plans for you and for me. Ephesians 2:10 says: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Only with a clear understanding of our true Identity can we believe and receive God’s unique purpose and Mission for our lives. He bestows upon us a Mission that is greater than ourselves, that is masterfully designed for us to carry out along side of Him…it is a Great Adventure.  His desire is that we would, as an outflow of our intimate relationship with Him, live purposeful lives as representatives of His personhood and Kingdom.

Where We Are Now

We have settled for less and it eats at us. Like a ship lost at sea, we find ourselves clumsily tossed to and fro by the winds, currents, waves, and tides of our culture. Without direction or a course we find we have settled along the path of least resistance. Rather than embracing God’s great adventure, we have settled for some sort of existence, something much less than our Heavenly Father planned for us. We have forsaken a beautiful paradise for some false sense of security and a life or story we can control. We may call it a career, the American Dream, success, or a myriad of things, but the reality is that we are somewhere adrift, without any sense of direction or course, without purpose and meaning, without a lasting legacy or significance.  In the end we are not impacting the world and bringing God’s Kingdom to this earth.  We are reserved to “doing” mission trips once every couple years, or to give some money to a charity, not wanting to fool with getting our hands dirty. The problem is this…Mission, outside of an identity that is rooted in the Father, is fruitless. Apart from the active work of Jesus in our life we cannot produce kingdom fruit and that is what we were created to do.

What God Wants To Do For Us

The offer is “life to the fullest” (John 10:10).  It is the promise he made to “make all things new” and that includes our mission in life.  God wants to redeem everything!  God is inviting us into His Great Adventure. We were created for purpose and a Mission that we live out in relationship with our Heavenly Father.   He wants to restore us in every way, body, mind and heart. God has prepared in advance good works for us (Eph 2:10). God has plans, hope, and future for us (Jer 29:11). He wants us to be so deeply and solely rooted in Him that our Mission is simply a natural outworking of a fully integrated life in the Heavenly Father.  He created us to be an integral part of His story and he wants us to be a part of His Kingdom, doing His work, His way!

What Response Does God Desire

Like any great Mission: Normandy, Wallace’s quest to free Scotland, Luke and Hans against the Evil Empire, The Fellowship of 9 and the free people of Middle Earth against the forces of Mordor, WE are needed to step forward and “get in the fight”!  This takes many forms of “action” but it simply starts with a willingness to hear and obey.  Jesus called it taking up our cross and following Him. God wants us to be 100% willing to receive from Him the Mission for which He has created us and thereby build His Kingdom on earth. God wants us to be sold out in service of Him.  He desires for us to let go of our independence, fabricated securities, false identities, less than meaningful missions, smaller stories and idols and grab hold of the Great Adventure he has for each of us. He wants us to die to self and embrace Him as King and Lord, in turn, embracing the Mission for our lives.  It is not easy but it is what we were created for!
